Nearly identical to PC 00565 above, with the following differences. This card is quite a bit smaller at 134 mm x 82 mm, and it has been cropped so that less grass and dirt show at the bottom, and the left hand edge is closer to the horse drawn cart.

The card has a message written on it but was likely mailed in an envelope. It is signed by Susan & Dan McGregor.

There are lots of views of the Pictou train station in snow, but this is the only card that I know of that shows the New Glasgow train station after a snowfall. There is a very faint number that is illegible on the lower right front corner of the card.

Mailed to Miss Jean Atkins, Pictou, Pictou Co., c/o Mrs. R Atkins, Box 424, the message reads "Dear Jennie, How are you getting along this beautiful dry weather. I suppose you are having a fine time now. Yours (? illegible) G Grant"

A major fire swept through downtown New Glasgow in late 1925 (can anyone pinpoint the exact date for me?) decimating many stores and the top story of the railway station. The building that was subsequently constructed (shown above), incorporated the undamaged part of the original building and greatly expanded the overall square footage of working space in the building.
